Thanks to the implementation of the SETUP platform, the company Seguridad de Occidente Ltda. Performs visualization and operational supervision in real time, achieving greater control and optimization of its services.

Introduction

The company Seguridad de Occidente Ltda. was founded in the municipality of Palmira (Valle del Cauca) in 1982 with the purpose of offering high quality security services. Currently, it is recognized as a solid, innovative and reliable organization, positioned as one of the 20 most representative security companies in Colombia. Although the company already had technological tools for internal operational control, it required the help of SETUP to implement a system that offered them information on the operational compliance of their security team in real time, with the aim of being preventive, as well as corrective and reactive.

The challenge

The security company needed flexible, usable, efficient and versatile technological functionalities that would allow it to maximize the productivity of its operations, so in the initial stage of the digital transformation project, together with SETUP, the following priorities were established:

Supervise visits to sites defined in the security plan, verifying that the assigned person was the one who did the job.
Control in real time compliance with procedures in rounds and verification of critical points.
Facilitate the management of the operational control department through alerts, notifications and indicators.
Have access to customizable operational indicators that allow decision-making to move towards better control, performance, productivity and business efficiency.

Solution

In order to respond to the stated priorities, the following strategy was carried out:

The security operative personnel installed the SETUP application on their cell phones.
Tags were located at strategic points of the perimeters to be protected, where the personnel in charge would have to identify themselves with the SETUP app each time they carried out a scheduled round.
The tags located in the security rounds were linked to digital forms to allow the generation of reports during the operational process.
To control and guarantee the management of the zone supervisors, the places to be protected were geopositioned in the Setup web system. What allows obtaining visiting hours, time in the sites, guaranteeing visits in the indicated places, in addition to acquiring news reports in real time.
A customized form was developed for the detailed recording of information on the assets and inventories in charge of the security company.
Each user with the SETUP application was given access to an alert button to report emergencies or request immediate support.

Reliable reports

SETUP configured different reports for the company Seguridad de Occidente taking into account their requirements:

Percentage of compliance with internal rounds at the company level. In other words, based on the compliance of each site or defined perimeter, the report records the accumulated result. This report is delivered by the system on a monthly basis and allows comparison between different periods.
Number of sites monitored per month.
Number of novelties and typification of the same.
